Wings for Kids Soars at Beyond School Hours Conference in New Orleans

WINGS took a trip to New Orleans, Louisiana to attend, exhibit and present at the Beyond School Hours Conference hosted by Foundations, Inc. 

At the conference, WINGS hosted an informative workshop session which covered the essential topic of fostering a psychologically safe learning environment for students. Led by Katie, our passionate SEL Training Specialist, attendees actively participated in discussions and hands-on activities while gaining insights into how to create spaces where children feel secure and supported.

Our booth in the exhibition hall was abuzz with activity, drawing in a diverse mix of educators and afterschool professionals eager to connect. The friendly faces at our booth showcased the enthusiasm of the Wings for Kids team and provided an inviting space for conference-goers to learn more about our mission.

The conversations at our booth were not only insightful but also paved the way for valuable connections. We had the chance to exchange ideas, learn from fellow professionals, and forge connections with like-minded youth-serving staff and educators.

Participating in the Beyond School Hours Conference was an enriching experience that allowed Wings for Kids to both share our expertise and learn from others in the education community. The collaborative spirit of the conference, marked by meaningful discussions, aligns seamlessly with our mission to nurture the social and emotional development of children. 

Reflecting on our time in New Orleans, we are grateful for the connections made and the shared dedication to the well-being and growth of children. The success at the Beyond School Hours Conference fuels our ongoing efforts to bring SEL to more children across the country. We can't wait to join in next year's fun in Orlando, 2025!
