That's a Wrap on 2021-2022!

Highlights and Good News from the 2021-2022 year!

From Chief Program Officer Cheryl Hollis

With the uncertainty of last year behind us, I am happy to report that all ELEVEN of our programs were in-person and running at full speed this school year! Throughout the southeast, 84 Wings Leaders mentored students and reconnected them to school, peers, and each other. Not only were WINGS staff and students reunited, but we were also able to provide extraordinary enrichment opportunities through partnerships with community experts and companies, such as art, tennis, dance, soccer, performing arts, coding… and of course, all of this was filled with lots of FUN!

More than 93% of WINGS kids tell us they are in a happy and positive place where adults support them!

Want more good news? On-site volunteers made their in-person return to WINGS programs during the 21-22 school year and we look forward to full implementation of our volunteer program next year. Because of YOU, our WINGS kids were not only able to regain a sense of normalcy and consistency, they were surrounded by caring mentors who modeled life skills like owning mistakes, working as a team, and identifying their emotions - while having fun and experiencing new activities and opportunities.
