Earlier this month, WINGS took to the city! Through the generosity of donors like you, hundreds of WINGS kids visited the Georgia Aquarium, Fernbank Museum, and the World of Coca-Cola—many for the very first time. We think field trips are one of the best tools we can use to provide students with positive real-world experiences. And, field trips bring WINGS kids out of their neighborhoods and into new areas of their community, providing an opportunity for kids to see the world outside their perimeters. Field trips are ripe with lessons in empathy, critical thinking, and self-management—competencies WINGS teaches all year long.
